- Reach out to Susan Clifton, LCSW-S using the CONTACT page or telephone number to set up a free consult call or Zoom meeting to answer all your questions and see if ketamine may be helpful in meeting your needs.
- If so, the next step will be an assessment with one of the local partner prescribers (your choice). On occasion, there may be health issues that need to be addressed prior to starting ketamine treatment, such as uncontrolled high blood pressure, or other variables that may change the recommendation.
- Consents from you allow us to collaborate on your care and coordinate your first medication appointment with KAP.
- Our approach is truly collaborative and tailored with constant awareness that ketamine treatment is expensive. We are mindful of cost-effectiveness of the correct service at the optimal time.
BENEFITS OF KETAMINE TREATMENT
The addition of ketamine to the process of therapy (KAP) can provide significant results for 55% - 70% of those challenged with treatment resistant depression, stuck &/or compulsive behavior. Ketamine is very safe when monitored & prescribed by an experienced medical prescriber. Some utilize medication treatment alone; however, studies show a supported treatment protocol with KAP enhances the effectiveness and longevity of positive changes.
KAP Services
Initial Preparation
Clients are prepared with a thorough psychoeducation about ketamine itself, what it does, what to expect, and the overall process to reinforce successful treatment.
Medication Session Preparation & Support
At the beginning of the medication session, the KAP therapist will assist the client as requested with “set & setting” and stays with the client, who is often focused inward during the majority of their journey (~45-60 minutes) and may note observations (e.g. facial expressions, shifts in body positions) during the client’s journey. The amount of support is client directed.
Early Integration
After returning to the awareness of the room, clients may share their experience, thoughts, and feelings connected to their journey with the KAP therapist who listens, encourages and supports.
Ongoing Integration
Later integration of new perspectives, new behaviors are generally easier and KAP will utilize tradition psychotherapy modalities to capitalize on the neuroplasticity.

Group Ketamine with KAP Services
Living Arts believes in the unique power of group KAP which blends the medicine’s ability to open perspective, and foster change, in combination with the sense of supportive belonging within the shared container of the group. Clients not only benefit from their own ketamine experience but also from the connection found in hearing and resonating with others. An added benefit is that group KAP costs are over 20% lower than solo KAP. Below are scheduled KAP groups and upcoming groups we are collecting Interested Lists.
