Women’s Wellness Retreat Group Descriptions

Welcoming Group

We will kick-off the retreat with lunch, a fun ice breaker and overview of the coming days. Everyone will choose a swag bag full of goodies to support the retreat intentions of Connect with Your Inner Wisdom, Releasing the Playful & Creative Inner Child and “Me Time” aka Rest and Recharge. Everyone will receive their own Retreat Companion Journal with solo activities and plenty of space to journal.

Puzzle Pursuit: Leadership and Teamwork

The group will be dividing into teams of 3-7 women who will then follow clues, riddles and maps to locate their team’s 4 puzzle pieces with the added incentive of a prize for the winning team. Afterwards, participants will discuss observations regarding leadership and teamwork that emerged during the experience and reflect personally on how this may show up.

Pontoon Boat Silent Meditation

A small group will slowly cruise the waters of Lake Gaston to the spot where the boat will be anchored and the noise of the boat cut off to listen to the sounds of nature. We hope the ~30 minute experience will foster relaxation and help you leave the stress of everyday life behind.

Pontoon Boat Conversations & Connections

Join the boat ride to enjoy the views and get to know your fellow retreat goers. “Captain Kimmy” will take the group around the Pea Hill Creek cove of Lake Gaston. Space is limited so sign up at the big top tent to save your spot.

Transformative Insight Imagery - Introduction

Do you feel anxious, stuck, uncertain, or overwhelmed? Experience T.I.I. by discovering your personal inner resources and then learn how to access your resources of support to shift any moment of anxiety, uncertainty or overwhelm! T.I.I. is not guided imagery, visualization, or hypnosis. All imaging experiences come from the imager, using all five senses, while awake and aware. This T.I.I. Introduction Part 1 is experiential, so you will discover your personal T.I.I. resources and learn how to effectively shift, relax, gain insight, and connect to wisdom, support, and greater balance. Then, you will practice how to access resources and shift any moment in daily living. T.I.I. is empowering for the imager, as imagers learn to trust their resources and gain mastery in accessing them independently! Each participant will have their own private experience and sharing is optional.

Reweaving Intentions

This opening circle will set the tone for your why and how during your retreat journey. Harness the power that emerges when you name your intentions out loud as you are held and witnessed in sacred feminine circle. You will be fully guided through creative arts methods, such as music, movement, storytelling and more, to explore why you are here and what you hope to gain from your retreat experience. This is for you if you are ready to gain deeper insights & clarity of why you are here and if you are ready to hold yourself and your community members accountable in your personal and collective healing. This will be playful, serious, and in-service of providing you a space to access and begin working with your highest self.

Finding Your Sensual Self

This group offers a safe space for women to explore their current relationship with their bodies, their sexuality, and their sensuality. During this workshop, you will discuss the current sexual narratives (or rules) you may carry based on societal conditioning or past experiences, identify and practice radical acceptance of self, and delve into various ways to reclaim pleasure as your birthright.

Sound Meditation

Sound meditation is a unique and deeply relaxing experience. Participants lay on yoga mats or blankets (with or without bolsters, pillows, etc. for added comfort) under the open sky and listen to gentle sounds of multiple instruments. Truly refreshing and revitalizing.

Release Ceremony at Lake Bonfire

The release ceremony will provide time for reflection and meaning-meaning. This will be a peaceful space for you to let go of what you need to or invite back in what you are seeking. Each woman will have the opportunity to release their own raft with beeswax mini torches and a water soluble note, adorned with flowers and objects from nature (all environmentally safe).

Morning Serenity Yoga

Join this gentle Morning Yoga class, which includes a harmonious blend of energizing and grounding poses. Elevate your day with some movement to awaken your body and mind, followed by soothing postures that foster inner balance & calm. Release stress and enhance your self-care with a blend of movement, breath and meditation. Start your morning with intention, serenity, and a renewed sense of well-being. Materials: Participants will need mats, and blocks are not required but could be helpful.

Connecting to the Higher Self

This program is about getting to know and build a relationship with your own divinity, known as your Higher Self. Since we are all a spark of the Divine, it makes sense that part of us has access to that all-knowing, all-loving place that has greater perspective than our human egoic self ever could. This is sometimes referred to as the 8th chakra, the first transpersonal chakra a couple feet above your head. Learning to tune into this place provides us with guidance, insight, unconditional love, and so many more blessings. Come say hello to this part of you and begin to build your relationship with it.

Reweaving Motherhood

What stories have you witnessed, been told, been cast in, feel stuck in, sense excitement about in regards to mothering? What does the role of mother mean to you? What textures and qualities does it hold in limitations, expansions, and everything in-between? You are invited to co-create a mother village filled with other mamas seeking deeper connection and meaning-making when it comes to this role and how you play it. It’s time to release the parenting “rule-books” as it were and step back into your empowered, attuned, and present mama nature. You will be fully guided through creative arts methods, such as archetype explorations, poetry/writing, music, movement, and more to come into greater connection with where you feel stuck and how to transform that energy into healing and growth.

Restoring Balance: Strategies for Quality Sleep and Recharging Your Mind

Sleep is a vital component of our overall well-being. Join us in this group to gain practical insights in improving your sleep patterns, recharging your energy, and achieving more restful and rejuvenating sleep. Explore relaxation techniques to ease your mind before bedtime and promote a calm sleep environment. Recognize the power of your thoughts in shaping your sleep experience and discuss techniques to change negative sleep expectations and foster a positive outlook on sleep.

Wisdom Circle

Restorative justice Circles are becoming increasingly popular in schools, teams, groups and organizations. Circles create a space of deep listening, respect, and equal opportunity for speaking, through the use of a talking piece. Circle processes originated from ancient, indigenous tribes and are shaped by the modern ways of the world. Circles are a powerful and sacred space to practice our best version of ourselves, listen deeply, speak from the heart, and build connections. Circle participants will create shared values and agreements for establishing the group’s space. After some introductory fun and getting acquainted, we will move into story sharing of when we’ve received wisdom. Each member will have the option to share or pass.

Everyday women receive messaging about how to look, how to be, and what to do in this world. This group is an opportunity to pause and consider how you, based on your own values rather than messaging, would like to show up in your life. We will create your personal life compass to help move you toward what is most important in your life.

Pontoon Boat Sound Meditation

A small group will float on Lake Gaston and experience the power of sound using gongs, Tibetan/crystal bowls, rain sticks, chimes, rattles and other sound instruments to promote relaxation and stress reduction naturally. For this sound meditation everyone will be seated rather than laying on yoga mats.

Soul Collage

Missy, who is certified in SoulCollage®, will introduce us to the self-reflective and personally nourishing process. Through simple collage techniques, individuals can deepen their understanding of the relationships between one’s own personality parts, their family/community/world, as well as personal dreams, symbols, and spirit. Cards are used for personal guidance and as a meditation. A SoulCollage® deck can become a multi-card mirror of yourself and your soul- whether it consists of three cards or a hundred. The group will explore together how to create and process cards as well as when and how this process may be useful for women’s wellness.

Dancing Mindfulness

Prepare to embark on a transformative journey with Dancing Mindfulness, an exhilarating and therapeutic experience that unleashes the power of expressive arts. Through the enchantment of movement and music, this practice takes you on a mesmerizing path toward mindful awareness. Immerse yourself in a captivating fusion of various mindfulness techniques with a seamless blend of breathwork, yoga, dance, and moments of serene silence and stillness. Dancing mindfulness creates a sanctuary for your mind, body, and soul as you surrender to the rhythm and discover the healing and transformative energy within you.

Tricia will lead this yoga class from a perspective of Trauma Informed Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Yoga Therapy for Anxiety, Depression, Stress, and Grief, to guide participants towards a place of inner peace and self-discovery.

For seasoned drummers to those with no experience. Our bonfire drum circle is a mesmerizing experience where you can let go and let the beats organically come together in harmonious rhythm that magically connects the group. Bring your drums or use ours.

Transformative Insight Imagery – Partnered Journey

Launch into your own adventure in Transformative Insight Imagery! New awareness, clarity, and empowering transformation awaits you! We will begin all together, re-connecting to our trusted supports of Center, Wise Guide and gifts. Then we will teach the simple and specific ways to co-facilitate your imaging partner and we will set up the journey, so you know where your unique starting point is for your adventure. With the trusted wisdom, love and support of your Wise Guide from part 1, your peaceful center, your gifts, and your partner, you will embark on your own adventure of transformation in whatever way YOU choose to. The imager is fully in charge of their experience, and how much they share with their partner or the group. You will be amazed at the insights revealed to you and the embodied transformation you experience!

Reweaving the Playful Mother

Is playing with your children a challenge? Does them asking you to get down on the ground and into their imaginary world send you into a paralysis or fearful, agitated place? You are not alone. So many mothers struggle with playing with their children and so often it connects to the ways you were (or were not) engaged with as a child by the grown ups in your life. And given the research that points to play as the way children learn and bond relationally, this is an important part of you we can address and begin to heal. Join other mothers seeking to tend to this inner-child relationship. Let’s meet those places of stuckness with curiosity and love as we play them free, together, leaving you feeling expanded and ready to step into more joy meeting your kids where they are in their playful world.

Meaningful Endings

The end of a retreat is as important as any other part, and approaching it as a sacred moment of practice can hold many gifts. Join Mindy in a reflective and intentional program to say goodbye and close out our time together with the intention to process, absorb, and integrate the retreat experience before we dive back into "real life."
